Our request for proposals window is now open! We seek proposals from educators and organizations that are personalizing learning to empower all learners, both K-12 students and adults. We welcome proposals from teachers, practitioners, researchers, and educational leaders at any stage in their innovative transformation. From all types of schools and districts, from all parts of the world, we’d love to learn from you and to share what we’ve learned. We would also love to hear from your students, too!
This year, we take personalized learning a step further with our theme, "Embracing Student-Centered Learning." We want our attendees to not only learn how to personalized instruction for all learners, but also remember to focus on keeping it student-centered in order for students to be successful in school, in their community, and in their future.
Session Topics
In line with this year’s theme of “Embracing Student-Centered Learning”, we’re looking for breakout session presentations on any of the following:
• Personalized professional learning for educators
• Innovative and authentic instructional practice for career readiness
• Using competency-based instruction for student-centered learning
• Using data in smart and practical ways
• Applying learning and behavioral science to meet student needs
• Personalized learning for special populations and specific content areas
• Designing a learning environment with flexibility in time, path, pace, place, schedules, or structures
• Empowering students to have a voice and agency in their own learning
• Developing a shared vision and culture with a student-centered mindset
• Implementing and sustaining change
• Current research on personalized learning
• Personalized learning in an online classroom
Session Interactivity
The Program Committee will give priority to proposals that provide engaging and interactive learning opportunities, that model personalized, competency-based and practical learning environments, and that draw on participant experiences and promote dialogue and exchange.
All approved breakout session presenters will receive a code for discounted registration. We will send acceptance and regret notifications via email by end of May.
All sessions will be 1-hour in length, and should accommodate learners at the specified experience level, school level, and topic. A limited number of sessions will be 2 hours in length and some may be repeated. Each session room will be equipped with a projector, screen, and WiFi. Presenters must provide their own laptop, device and audio speakers.
