Software Systems



The annual Southern Association for Information Systems (SAIS), an official chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), will hold the 24th SAIS conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, March 18-19, 2022. We invite submissions of abstracts, papers, panels, tutorials, and workshops, from academia, business, or government on current topics in all areas of IS. Accepted abstracts and papers will be included in the conference proceedings and published in the AIS e-Library. In addition, author(s) of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their submission that will be fast-tracked for publication in the Journal of the Southern Association for Information Systems (JSAIS). Student submissions will be considered for a dedicated virtual track. Other submissions may be considered for virtual presentation on a case-by-case basis by contacting programchair@southernais.org
CONFERENCE TRACKS
The SAIS encourages all authors to submit their IS related research to the conference. We offer the following specific tracks within IS, as well as a general IS track.
• Analysis, Design & Development
• Data & Analytics; Education
• Governance, Project Management and
Strategy
• Information Systems in Society • Information Systems Use
• Security & Privacy
• General IS
Additionally, we will have two new tracks this year
• Enterprise Systems: Practice & Pedagogy
• JSAIS FastTrack for authors who would like to
present their work in preparation for submission to the Journal of the Southern Association for Information Systems
AWARD CATEGORIES – Paper submissions are eligible for best-in-track award, as well as one of the three conference wide award categories: Best Student Paper, Best Student and Faculty Paper, and Best Conference Paper. Best Student Paper selections are eligible for cash prizes up to $200. The author(s) of the Best Conference Paper will be invited to submit an extended version of the conference submission that will be fast-tracked for publication in JSAIS. Awards are presented during the lunch at the close of the conference.
PROCEEDINGS – SAIS publishes electronic proceedings online containing all papers, abstracts, and summaries of panel, tutorials, and workshops presented at the meeting. Previously published work or work under review elsewhere is not eligible for submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring submissions are formatted appropriately using the template provided on the conference website.
