Sustainable Development Convergence Uncategorized

Dear colleagues,

The Association "Sorbonne Développement Durable" (SDD) invites you to submit proposals for the first edition of its annual international symposium, "Data & Sustainable Development". Organised in partnership with the Centre d’Economie de la Sorbonne (CES), the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), and the Labex Dynamite (LabEx), the conference will take place December 5 to 7, 2022 and will be held across two venues: the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Cité du Développment Durable.

The theme of this year's symposium is the contribution of data to the analysis of sustainable development. The interdisciplinary symposium is structured along three thematic days:

  • Day 1: Sustainable development issues in the light of current events

  • Day 2: Remote sensing as a tool for research on sustainable development

  • Day 3: Epistemological reflections on the data used to analyze sustainable development

Speakers may choose to intervene in poster-type sessions or in a more traditional presentation format (30 minutes: 20 minutes of presentation + 10 minutes of Q&A).

Please follow this link to see the full details and requirements regarding the conference. We strongly encourage you to apply to the conference if your research is in line with sustainable development. The deadline to apply is September 30, 2022.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. We would be grateful if you could forward this email, through your network, to your partners and acquaintances who may be interested in this call for applications.

Best regards,
