3rd Workshop on Pattern Recognition Applications (PRA 2021) in conjunction with 3rd International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems (PRIS 2021), which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand during July 28-30, 2021. PRIS 2021 is organized by Asia Pacific Institute of Science and Engineering(APISE). We warmly welcome prospective authors to submit their new research or technological contributions to PRA 2021, for sharing valuable experiences with scientists and students from around the world.
●Publication and Indexing
After a careful reviewing process, all the registered and presented papers will be published into PRIS 2021 Conference Proceedings, which will be submitted to Engineering Village, Scopus, Thomson Reuters (WoS) and other indexing organizations for review and indexing.
●Speakers
Prof. Xiaoyi Jiang, University of Münster, Germany
Xiaoyi Jiang studied Computer Science at Peking University and received his PhD and Venia Docendi (Habilitation) degree in Computer Science from University of Bern, Switzerland. He was an associate professor at Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Since 2002 he is a full professor at University of Münster, Germany, and currently the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. He is Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, he also serves on the advisory board and editorial board of several other journals including IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging and International Journal of Neural Systems. His research interests include image analysis, pattern recognition, and machine learning. Prof. Jiang is a Fellow of IAPR (International Association for Pattern Recognition) and senior member of IEEE.
Prof. Yonghong Peng, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK
Prof Peng is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence and the Director of the Centre for Advanced Computational Science at the Manchester Metropolitan University UK. Prior to that, Prof Peng is a Professor of Data Science and the founding director for the Centre of Research and Innovation in Data Science at the University of Sunderland UK. He is research interest includes AI and Data Science and their application to health informatics, genome and precision medicine. He is the Chair for the Big Data Task Force (BDTF) of IEEE computational intelligence society (CIS), and a member of Data Mining and Big Data Analytics Technical Committee of IEEE CIS. He is also a founding member of the Technical Committee on Big Data (TCBD) of IEEE Communications, and a member of Big Data Task Force of China Information Industry Association (CIIA). He is an advisory board member for IEEE Special Interest Group (SIG) on Big Data for Cybersecurity. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Transaction on Big Data, IEEE Access, and an Academic Editor of PeerJ and PeerJ Computer Science.
Prof. Saman Halgamuge, The University of Melbourne, Australia
SAMAN HALGAMUGE, is a Fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), USA, and a Distinguished Lecturer/Speaker appointed by IEEE in the area of Computational Intelligence. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Melbourne, an honorary Professor of School of Electrical, Energy and Materials Engineering at Australian National University (ANU). He was previously the Director of the Research School of Engineering at the Australian National University (2016-18) and held Professor, Associate Dean International, Associate Professor and Reader and Senior Lecturer positions at University of Melbourne (1997-2016).
