International Francophone Institute (IFI) - VNU respectfully announces and invites experts, lecturers, researchers, educational administrators to register and submit full papers to participate in the International Conference: Digital Transformation and Higher Education: When Challenges are Opportunities, will take place on June 4, 2021 at Vietnam National University, 144 Xuân Thủy, Hanoi. The event is part of the DAAS (Diderot Advanced Academic Seminars) series of IFI, under the sponsorship of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The 4.0 industrial revolution is in full swing, so digital transformation has become popular. It is an inevitable trend for the existence and development of organizations, businesses and all areas of social life. The demand for digital transformation has become increasingly urgent since the start of 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic spread around the world, causing a severe blow to the entire global economy, affecting directly the activities of the company. And higher education is also well and truly affected. The time of social distancing that we have just gone through have brought to a reality: higher education is concerned with this major challenge of the 21st century. Digital transformation occupies a central position in the grandes écoles and universities. In this context, there are many problems of university education and training have arisen. The digital transformation in this field is not only about creating and implementing online courses to deal with temporal issues such as social dissociation caused by epidemics, but also the digitization of education management, data, ... and above all the training of human resources capable of adapting to the demands of digital transformation and the digital economy.
In order to identify challenges and opportunities for higher education in the digital age and contribute to making recommendations for higher education development policies in Vietnam, IFI, in collaboration with Hanoi Pedagogical University 2; Thang Long University and Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM) - University of Social Sciences and Humanities co-organize this conference. The high-quality contributions will be selected for the proceeding of DAAS with ISBN and La Francophonie in Asia – Pacific magazine (FAP) (ISBN et ISSN 2525-2488) or VNU Journal of Science: Policy Research and Management (ISSN 2615-9295 / e-ISSN 2588-1116).
The themes of the conference include, but are not limited to:
- Digital transformation in the management of university training;
- Digital transformation in teaching, examination, assessment, scientific research;
- Educational digital transformation and social differentiation;
- Virtual university;
- Bigdata in an academic environment;
- Blockchain and educational information and records management systems
- Digitization of documentaries and the problem of intellectual property;
- The role of companies in the process of digital transformation of higher education.

- Proposal submission: 05/04/2021
- Full-text submission: 20/05/2021
Submission guidelines
- Proposal (subject, 3-5 keywords): less than 500 words
- Full text (summary and keywords): less than 5000 words
- The full text is drafted in the form of .docx, with the author’s name, phone number and institution’s name
- Format: Text is presented in single spaced, font size 13 using Times New Roman font. Alignment: top 2 cm; bottom than 2 cm; right 2 cm; left 3 cm. Pages, figures and tables must be clearly and accurately numbered.
