METHODOLOGY, NARRATION AND LEGACY
Organizers: Department of Qur’an and Related Sciences, Darul Hidaya Da’wa College, Kerala, India
Conference Location: Darul Hidaya Da’Wa College, Kerala, India
Conference Date: September 06, 2022
The Department of Qur’an and Related Sciences of Darul Hidaya Da’wa College, Kerala, in collaboration with the Fathhu-rrahman Centre of Excellence for Qur’anic Studies (FCEQS), organizes an academic conference on “Qur’an Translations in Malayalam: Methodology, Narration And Legacy”. Our primary focus through this programme is to equip the research scholars with a general consensus on the various narratives on Qur’an Translations in Malayalam Literature. We are welcoming content-oriented abstracts for our first academic Conference on Qur’anic Studies. This conference intends to bring together scholars working in both academic and disciplinary fields. For this, we are hosting venerated scholars, academicians, and lecturers in Qur’anic studies. The conference will cover all aspects, modern trends and studies about listed topics.
OBJECTIVES
The Qur’an Translations resulted in the surge of studies on Qur’anic aspects from both Arabs and Non-Arabs, from Muslims and Non-Muslims. However, the rising of allegations and misconceptions spread over the globe on the translatability of the Qur'an cannot be overlooked.
Even from Kerala Perspective, we can see multiple intellectual discourses on the translatability of the Qur’an among the Jurisprudential scholars and Ulamas. So, at this conference, we aim for valuable discussions on the background, and characteristics of debate on Qur’an translatability. In addition to this, we aim to carry out discussions on Malayalam translation’s methodology, impact, and composition. We hope to host a set of wider platforms for versatile scholars and academicians to impart various aspects of Qur’an translation to researchers.
