4th International Conference on Uncertainty in Mechanical Engineering (Scopus, Springer, OA)

ICUME 2021

Physics & Mathematics (General)

Due to the Corona crisis, we postpone the ICUME from November 2020 to this newly given date!
At ICUME, the participants will discuss methods and technologies to describe, evaluate and control uncertainty in mechanical engineering applications. International scholars and specialists will come together to provide a broad forum to discuss the description, evaluation, avoidance, elimination of and adaptation to uncertainty.
It is the aim to control uncertainty throughout the system’s complete lifetime in planning, development, production and usage of mechanical structures and systems. Engineers, mathematicians, legal experts and other areas of expertise working in uncertainty evaluation exchange latest research results and application of uncertainty control.
We encourage you to submit a paper if your research is in one of the following research areas:
i. Resilience as a concept for mastering uncertainty
ii. Mastering uncertainty by digitalization
iii. Uncertainty in production
iv. Responsability for autonomuos systems
v. Uncertainty quantification
vi. Optimization under uncertainty
The conference is located in the Darmstadtium Congress Center in Darmstadt Germany. Darmstadt is close to Frankfurt and can be easily reached form Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) or Frankfurt Main Station by public transport. The region is rich in cultural facilities and offers many opportunities in addition to the conference.
For instance, you could visit Frankfurt am Main or top wineries at the Rhine besides Darmstadt. The public transport is very well developed, so it is easy to visit different cities and points of interests near Darmstadt.
The final papers are going to be published by Springer in the series "Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering" which is indexed in SCOPUS. All papers will be open access with no further fee. All submitted papers will be reviewed in a peer-review process. At least one author must register and present the paper at the conference, if it is accepted for publication.
