Call for papers
La Società Storica e Antropologica di Valle Camonica (SSAValCam) organizza la X edizione dei convegni internazionali I.S.T.A. Incontri per lo Studio dei Territori Alpini (www.ista.ssavalcam.it).
L’argomento è: «Arte medievale nelle Alpi. Pittura, scultura e architettura tra Tre e Quattrocento».
L’incontro si terrà a Breno (BS-Italia) nel mese di ottobre 2020* (*In conformità con le disposizioni sanitarie).
È possibile inviare una propria proposta attraverso il modulo abstract in allegato.
Un massimo di 5 papers saranno selezionati per essere presentati al convegno. Ulteriori papers saranno valutati per essere pubblicati nel volume degli atti. L’organizzazione potrà attivare una sessione poster per dare visibilità ad un numero maggiore di proposte.
In considerazione dell’ampiezza e dell’eterogeneità del tema l’organizzazione, a seguito dell’esame degli abstract, potrà limitare l’arco cronologico o l’ambito di interesse del progetto.
Linee guida
- Periodo d’interesse: età medievale (secoli XIV e XV).
- Area di interesse: Alpi europee (aree montane).
- Oggetto: esame di un singolo caso significativo, coerente e definito (es. un’opera d’arte, un artista, un ciclo pittorico, una chiesa, una tematica ricorrente…).
- Esclusi: castelli e fortificazioni, miniature e manoscritti, arredi e paramenti liturgici.
Lingue: italiano e inglese
Deadline: 30 giugno 2020
Esiti: luglio 2020
Paper: Consegna entro il 30 gennaio 2021 (20.000-35.000 battute)

Call for papers
Valle Camonica Historical and Anthropological Society (SSAValCam) organizes the 10th edition of the international I.S.T.A. conference (I.S.T.A. : Meetings for the Study of the Alpine Territories).
The topic is: «Medieval art in the Alps. Painting, sculpture and architecture between the 14th and 15th centuries».
The meeting will be held in Breno (BS-Italy) in October 2020* (* In compliance with health regulations).
It is possible to send a proposal through the attached abstract form.
A maximum of 5 papers will be selected to be presented at the conference. Further papers will be evaluated to be published in the conference proceedings. The organization could be able to activate a poster session to give visibility to a greater number of proposals.
In consideration of the breadth and heterogeneity of the theme, the organization, after the examination of the abstracts, could limit the chronological span or the area of interest of the project.
Guidelines
- Period of interest: Medieval age (14th and 15th centuries).
- Area of interest: European Alps (mountain areas).
- Subject: examination of a single significant, coherent and well-defined case (eg. a work of art, an artist, pictorial cycles ,a church, a recurring theme...).
- Excluding: castles and fortifications, miniatures and manuscripts, liturgical furnishings and vestments.
