Technology and scientific breakthroughs play a critical role in discovering and verifying crimes and criminals by scrutinizing and assessing material evidence gathered during judicial and administrative investigations. The technology and methods utilized in forensic research and applications are evolving in line with changes in the quality and quantity of forensic cases around the world and in our country. The II. International Conference of Forensic Sciences will be conducted on 7-8 December 2023 in Ankara by the Turkish National Police Academy Institute of Forensic Sciences to evaluate advancements in this field and reveal their importance in the fight against crime. II. International Conference of Forensic Sciences aims to bring together leading scientists, researchers, and law enforcement officers to share their experiences and research results in the fields of forensic research and application, as well as to serve as a platform for stakeholders to share information, cooperate, and exchange expertise.

The Conference is aimed at encouraging the introduction of the most recent innovations and practices in the field of forensic sciences, as well as contributing to potential new technology and scientific applications. It will bring together academicians, forensic science experts, law enforcement personnel, and members of the judiciary who carry out scientific studies, research, and development activities in forensic sciences and forensic medicine disciplines, which complement each other based on the use of scientific methods and techniques in the fight against crime, in an international scientific discussion environment. The Conference, hosted by the Turkish National Police Academy's Presidency, will take place face-to-face at the Turkish National Police Academy's Gölbaşı/Ankara campus, with the main theme of "Developments, in Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics Applications, Current Research, and Technological Innovations."

The language of the conference is Turkish and English. Simultaneous translation will be available during the sessions.

Abstracts should include a title reflecting the content of the study, summary text explaining the subject, purpose, and scope of the study, and five keywords. The participant's name, title, and institution should be indicated in the abstract text (by filling in the relevant sections of the ABE- Conference supplementary document 1). The abstract must be written in the box allocated at the bottom of the ABE-Conference supplementary document 1, which contains brief information about the applicant and is prepared in print by the Organising Committee. Important Notes

- A limited number of presentations to be selected by the Organising Committee among the applications from outside Türkiye will be available online.

-Presentations of applicants who do not send full text on the specified date will not be accepted.

-Travelling and accommodation expenses for a limited number of presentations from abroad will be covered by the conference budget.
