HELMeTo2020 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working in Higher Distance Education Institutions or studying Online Learning Methodologies to present and share their research in a multidisciplinary context. The workshop is focused on all the relevant topics for online higher education and provides a forum for the discussion of new research directions and applications in these fields, where different disciplines could effectively meet.
The workshop will be held in Bari, at University of Bari "A. Moro", on September 17/18, 2020.

Extended abstracts submission: May 30, 2020
Extended abstracts notification: June 30, 2020
Conference: September 17/18, 2020
Full paper submission: October 30, 2020
**** TOPICS ****
The workshop will include parallel sessions organized in six main tracks:
I session: Learning analytics and educational big data mining
II session: Virtual technology and augmented reality for distance learning
III session: Cloud, Fog and mobile computing application to e-learning
IV Session: E-teacher and e-tutor: pre-service and in-service training
V Session: University teaching: higher education and innovative training models
VI Session: Online Higher Education Evaluation
**** SUBMISSIONS ****
All submissions must be made electronically by May 30, 2020, through the online submission system EasyChair.
Contributions MUST be in English and should be submitted in the form of an extended abstract with references (max 4 pages).
The authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to present their work at the Workshop. The accepted abstracts will be available in a digital book of abstracts of the Workshop.
The authors of the accepted contributions will be invited to submit an extended version of their work in the form of a final full paper (at least 12 pages comprising references). Full papers will undergo a second round of reviews. Accepted full papers, whose authors will have attended the workshop (at least one author) , will be included, free of charge, in the workshop post-proceedings, published in Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series, indexed in Scopus and other important indexing databases.
**** HELMETO AWARD ****
A Scientific Commission will award one contribution relating to the pedagogical-methodological area and one for the technological area. The "Prize" is reserved for extended abstracts accepted at the Helmeto 2020 conference. All accepted contributions are automatically candidates for the prize.
