Description, Scope, and Topics
Communication protocols and algorithms are needed to communicate network. Several developments have been done in networking area to enable devices to communicate using smart protocols and algorithms. However, regular methods might not be optimum for the operation of devices with mobility. This includes devices such as drones, UAVs, automobiles, mobile sensors, etc. In addition, there are several new paradigms that have received the attention of researchers, such as MANET, VANET, opportunistic networks, WPAN, WBSN, drone small cells (DSCs) networks, etc. Such advances allow proposing new rules, conventions and data structures which requires new protocols and algorithms for network devices to communicate. Moreover, devices with higher mobility requires more complex algorithms that can be used by the network device to enhance networking and enable the device to achieve the required task.
Smart communication protocols and algorithms make use of several methods and techniques (such as machine learning techniques, decision making techniques, knowledge representation, network management, network optimization, problem solution techniques, and so on), to communicate the network devices to transfer data between them.
