eLife Innovation Sprint 2020
September 2–3 | Cambridge, UK (or potentially online)
https://sprint.elifesciences.org
The eLife Innovation Sprint is a 2-day collaborative hackathon where we bring together researchers, developers, designers, technologists, researchers, etc to develop technological solutions and prototypes to redefine the way we do and share research.
We would like to invite everyone with idea(s) for open-source technological solutions to address one of the following themes to submit project proposal(s):
- Support reproducibility in research
- Reform research evaluation practices
- Promote diversity and inclusion in research
- Improve publishing practices, e.g. preprints, equitable access and discovery
- Facilitate research collaborations
- Create a healthy research environment, e.g. mentoring, mental health
- Encourage transparent and constructive peer review
Projects from past Sprints have gone on to be supported by other organisations such as Mozilla, the Sloan Foundation, the Wellcome Trust and eLife.
The deadline for submitting project proposals is April 13.
We hope to provide travel and other support to all participants who otherwise would not be able to attend.
