2023 IEEE World Engineering Education Conference invites authors to submit original research in English in the form of full papers (up to six pages) and work-in-progress papers (up to four pages) that address the main conference theme and the conference prevalent topics. In addition, EDUNINE 2023 welcomes proposals for workshops to promote lifelong learning for educators. Workshops are single and short (from 90 minutes to a full day) educational programs designed to provide participants with practical skills, techniques, or ideas that they can use in their work.

The purpose of this new call for Last Breakout Papers is to provide authors with an opportunity to publish and present new and compelling material in the area of ICT education.

EDUNINE2023 is issuing two calls for papers to ensure that the conference schedule coincides with the academic calendars of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres to comply with the IEEE non-discrimination policy. Typically, the academic year begins in late summer or early fall and ends the following spring or summer. Therefore, the academic year in Northern Hemisphere countries lasts from August, September, or October through May, June, or July. In contrast, the academic year in Southern Hemisphere countries is aligned with the calendar year and lasts from February or March to November or December. Each call for papers has its own deadline for submission, review, and notification and should give authors the time they need to complete the procedures required by their institution for participation in the conference.

EDUNINE 2023, as a conference in the field of engineering and technology education, has enriched the scientific community with its quality and opportunity to promote communication between academics and researchers. With participants from all over the world, university academics and young researchers had the opportunity to network and exchange useful knowledge. This is another important contribution to the development and dissemination of scientific achievements for human development, to building bridges between communities, and helping educators and policymakers find creative and innovative solutions for teaching and learning in the current crisis and in the longer-term future.

EDUNINE 2023 will be held as a hybrid conference with combined online and on-site presentations. This conference will be a seamless integration of technology to facilitate participation between a live and virtual audience.  Authors can choose to present their papers in English, Portuguese, or Spanish on-site at the conference venues (Universidad Central and Universidad del Rosario in Bogota) or online only through the online platform. Both forms of presentation are of equal value. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® digital library. IEEE has agreements with other publishers and services such as Google, Elsevier (Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Compendex), Web of Science, Ei Engineering Village, and Scitopia.org.
