International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence methods for Smart Cities [Scopus][Ei]

AISC 2021

Artificial Intelligence

The main aim of Smart Cities is to improve the daily life of the citizens and supporting their habits by proposing subject-oriented services. In urban scenarios, this improvement is mainly oriented to people and vehicles, which may take advantage from surveillance systems providing services and guaranteeing safe living environments.
In this context, novel artificial intelligence methods, techniques and systems, particularly those based on Machine/Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Internet of Things, are emerging to solve real-life problems, ranging from video surveillance, road safety and traffic monitoring, prevention of accidents or critical events, to intelligent transportation and management of public services. In fact, AI-based approaches, also leveraging on IoT or cloud networks, may serve as underlying methods to tackle this wide range of problems.
The First International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence methods for Smart Cities (AISC 2021) is organized by the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Laboratory (aibd.unica.it) of the University of Cagliari (Italy), in conjunction with the University of Naples "Federico II" (Italy), as a part of the EUSPN-2021 International Conference to be held in Leuven (Belgium), on November 1-4, 2021.
** Submission Guidelines **
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Submitted papers must be formatted according to the guidelines of Procedia Computer Science, MS Word Template, Latex, Template Generic, Elsevier, and must be no longer than 6 pages, including all figures, tables and references.
Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically using the online conference management system in PDF format before the deadline.
The submission processes will be managed by easychair.org. If you have used this system before, you can use the same username and password. If this is your first time using EasyChair, you will need to register for an account by clicking “I have no EasyChair account” button. Upon completion of registration, you will get a notification email from the system and you are ready for submitting your paper. You can upload and re-upload the paper to the system by the submission due date.
The objective of AISC 2021 is to solicit and publish the latest advances and ideas, based on Machine/Deep Learning, heuristics and/or Computer Vision techniques, on topics which include, but are not limited to, the following:

** Publication **
All AISC 2021 accepted papers will be included in the official EUSPN-2021 proceedings, published by Elsevier Science, in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series online. Procedia Computer Science is hosted by Elsevier (elsevier.com) and on Elsevier content platform ScienceDirect (sciencedirect.com), and will be freely available worldwide.
All papers in Procedia will be indexed by Scopus, Google Scholar, Thomson Reuters' Conference Proceeding Citation Index, EI Compendex, and DBLP. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers. You will be able to provide a hyperlink to all delegates and direct your conference website visitors to your proceedings.
Highly relevant papers will be selected to submit an extension of their work in EUSPN-2021 and AISC 2021 dedicated Special Issues in top-tier international journals.
** Venue **
The AISC 2021 workshop will be held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on Emerging Ubiquitous Systems and Pervasive Networks (EUSPN-2021), in Leuven, Belgium on November 1-4, 2021. More details available on the EUSPN-2021 website (http://cs-conferences.acadiau.ca/euspn-21/).
