Entrepalavras (B1-2016), a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to Linguistics (Federal University of Ceara-Brazil), invites researchers to submit their paper to its special issue “Dictionary, lexicon and language teaching”. Theme: Dictionary, lexicon and language teaching.
It is consensus between researchers, nationally and internationally, the importance and the role that the dictionary plays on the acquisition, development and lexicon enhancements, being of great efficient to the teaching and learning of languages, whether that is the native language or foreign language. For a very long time, the lexicon occupied a secondary role on the process of language teaching, not being considered as it should on the didactic in classes and, thus, the bigger focus was almost always on the teaching of phonetic and the grammar, once that the vocabulary seemed to be less productive and not as important.
Presented with that, with the goal of publishing relevant studies which the object of study is the dictionary as an innovative tool on the learning and perfecting on the teaching of a language, this special issue wants to reunite contributions that use the themes Dictionary, lexicon and language teaching.
Thus, for this dossier are especially welcomed original articles that touch on the following thematic:
-The use of dictionaries on class;
-The incorporation of the lexicon on the dictionary;
-Analysis and elaboration of dictionaries for learning;
-Learning of reading and writing with the dictionary;
-Learning of grammar and pronunciation with the dictionary;
-Ideologies about the dictionary and it's adoption on classes.
-Dictionary and teaching of culture;
-Use of dictionary for specific ends;
-Dictionary and multimodality;
-Electric dictionaries and apps;
-Other issues that touch, directly, on the relationship between dictionaries, lexicon and teaching.

Publication: First quarter of 2021.
