###Suggested Topics for Submissions:###
The Special Issue will showcase research works that materialize the concept of ubiquitous computing by combining edge and cloud services, and enable efficient management of big data collected from mobile sensors, connected vehicles, and the Internet of Things (IoT). We encourage research on areas related to service-oriented technologies on the edge and the cloud and a combination of machine learning, predictive analytics, data modelling, system architectures, and data mining. Suggested topics include, but are not restricted to:
* Mobile and Big Data Analytics and Mining
* Mobile and Big Data Foundations
* Mobile and Big Data Platforms and Technologies
* Mobile and Big Data and Machine Learning Applications, Experiences and Case studies
###Submission Process###
Manuscripts must be submitted by August 31, 2021, at https://www.editorialmanager.com/JDSA. All submissions will be reviewed by members of the Special Issue Reviewer Committee. Based on the reviews for each paper, the Guest Editors will initiate a discussion among the reviewers in order to reach consensus. Decisions will be based on the quality of the papers, which will consider the reviews and the outcome of the discussions. Each paper will be reviewed by 3 reviewers in the submission phase and for those that are recommended for a minor or major revision, at least two of the reviewers will be asked to provide additional feedback on the revised version. The review process will be single-blind. Papers are asked to have at least 30% new content, focusing on experimental results and implementations.

* 28 February 2022: Revisions
* 1 March 2022: Final notifications
* 1 April 2022: Final manuscript
###Submission Guidelines:
Papers submitted to this special issue for possible publication must be original and must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal or conference. All manuscripts must be prepared according to the journal publication guidelines and author’s instructions which can be found on the website (http://www.springer.com/41060). Papers will be reviewed following the journal standard review process.
