Journal of Special Interest Group in Lousy Algorithms

Journal of SIGLA 2012

Software Systems Theoretical Computer Science

Inaugural issue of the Journal of sigla:

We are particularly interested in original lousy algorithms, which can be theoretical- or system-oriented.

A lousy algorithm is one with at least 20% lower accuracy, or has at least 2X running time, compared to its best competitor.

We encourage in-depth experimental evaluation with real-world data. No SCIgen papers, please.

Topics of interest include but not limited to research problems in computer science areas:
Theory of computation
Algorithms and data structures
Programming languages and compilers
Concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems
Software engineering
Computer architecture
Communications and security
Databases
Artificial intelligence
Computer graphics
Scientific computing
Collaborative networks
