The First International Workshop on Efficient and Smart 5G Technologies for IoT

ES5TI 2019

Computer Networks & Wireless Communication

5G technologies usually are just referred to extremely high speed links, or what has been called Mobile Broadband (eMBB). However, there are two other parts of 5G networks that may involve the creation of new services are massive Machine-Type-Communications (mMTC) and ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC). These communications, among other advantages, will increase the applications and services of IoT technology, as well as it will allow communicating intelligent devices. This implies thousands of potential improvements on both individual person and business scale. 5G communications technology will exponentially increase the possibilities of IoT. In order to make this technology a reality, actual cutting-edge scientific advances are needed, such as the efficient deployment of the nodes or an efficient characterization of the traffic generated by the different applications.
The aim of the First International Workshop on Efficient and Smart 5G Technologies for IoT (ES5TI) is to bring together engineers, researchers and practitioners interested in the advances and applications in the field of 5G and IoT technologies. Participants are invited to present and discuss recent developments and challenges in ES5TI systems. This workshop focuses on innovative algorithms, applications, tools and frameworks in all technological areas related to 5G in the context of smart cities and other application domains. Papers describing original novel work and advanced prototypes, systems and tools are welcome.
Researchers are encouraged to submit original research contributions in all major areas, which include, but are not limited to:
Efficient deployment of 5G technologies for IoT
QoE in 5G technologies for IoT
Vehicular Cloud Computing
Mobility of 5G technologies for IoT
5G Networks for IoT
Security and Privacy of Connected 5G technologies for IoT
Big Data & 5G technologies for IoT
