Symposium on “Smart Environments & Internet of Things” will be held in the frame of the 27th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM 2019), technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc), in hotel Radisson Blu Resort in the attractive ambiance of Split on September 19-21, 2019.
Recent advances in areas like pervasive computing, machine learning, wireless and sensor networking enable various smart environment applications in everyday life. The main goal of this symposium is to present and discuss recent advances in the area of the Internet of Things, in particular on technologies, architectures, algorithms and protocols for smart environments with an emphasis on real smart environment applications that are becoming research topics more and more interesting for both academia and industry.
We cordially invite speakers who wish to present original papers on the following subjects, but not limited to:

Papers should conform to the IEEE format and will be handled and processed electronically via EDAS Conference Management System.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and
submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
Authors of selected best papers will be invited to submit an extended version of
their manuscripts for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Communications Software and Systems (JCOMSS).
