4th Annual APEEN Conference on Energy Demand-Side Management and Electricity Markets

4APEEN 2019

Sustainable Energy Sustainable Development

This conference offers an exceptional opportunity to enhance the debate about the energy demand side management issue and the electricity markets. Despite the conference is being mostly focused on electricity, demand side measures could also be applied to energy as a whole, in its several forms. In such a way, the topics of the conference reflect this large spectrum of interests, namely climate change and regulation, environmental regulation, the sustainable mobility, shared backups or sustainable energy.
The conference will be primarily focused on the challenges that the considerable integration of renewables is provoking in the electricity markets. The challenges that novel renewables are bringing to the markets and for the energy policies, jointly with the important role that consumers and prosumers ought to play, are some of the most critical issues facing the electricity diversification mix today. In such a way, theoretical, empirical, and experimental methods, complemented by approaches from other field specialists are expected, moving the debate forward and pushing the agenda beyond 2030. Academics and scholars, policy makers, government staff, international institutions, regulatory agencies, and practitioners are all very welcome to join the debate.
