MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF EDUCATION AND ECONOMICS OF SMART UNIVERSITY special session is a part of 6th International KES Conference on Smart Education and e-Learning (SEEL-2019) to be held on June 17-19, 2019 at the Intercontinental-Malta Hotel, St. Julians, MALTA, URL: http://seel-19.kesinternational.org/ *)
Background
==========
The concepts of smart university, smart education, smart school, smart campus, smart learning environment, smart engineering, smart medicine, smart business, smart city, smart systems and smart technology were just recently introduced to scientific methodology and practice in modern society. All these entities are part of a new mega-system - smart society system. Those areas should be equipped with a system of mathematical methods, corresponding models of system’s entities and interconnections between them to provide systems’ integrity, reliability, and effectiveness; in other words, system’s infrastructure and reliability. The common well-known methods of substantiation in humanities (education, economics, etc.) are primarily empirical methods that are based on math statistics. However, these days a process of mathematization of science is taking place due to various smart processes, smart systems and smart technologies that occur in modern society.
Goal
=====
The goal of this special session is to propose, classify, develop and test various mathematical models to be effectively used to simulate and optimize education and economics of smart university. These mathematical methods should with high quality and accuracy substantiate the obtained research data and practical outcomes in education and economics of smart university.
Main Topics:
============
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Mathematical modeling of smart blended, distance, online and open education
• Mathematical modeling of economics of smart education
• Mathematical models of smart e-learning
• Mathematical modeling of smart assessment and testing
• Mathematical models of security and control in smart learning environments
• Mathematical modeling of standards in smart education
• Mathematical models of smart management and administration
• Software systems for mathematical modeling of learning and teaching
• Software systems for mathematical modeling of economics
• Mathematical models of education and economics: best practices and case studies
• Mathematical models of education and economics: national and international projects
Proceedings (as book chapters by SPRINGER)
==========================================
The Full Papers conference proceedings will be published by SPRINGER as book chapters in a volume of the KES Smart Innovation Systems and Technologies series (http://www.springer.com/series/8767), and submitted for indexing in Scopus and Thomson-Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and the Web of Science.
