1st Workshop on Distributed and Reliable Storage Systems

DRSS 2019

Quality & Reliability

1st Workshop on Distributed and Reliable Storage Systems (DRSS’19) - http://drss.inesctec.pt
The 1st workshop on Distributed and Reliable Storage Systems (DRSS’19) will take place on October 1, 2019, in Lyon, France and it is co-located with SRDS 2019.
Storage systems are the cornerstone for a wide range of applications focusing distinct fields, such as cloud and high-performance computing, machine learning, deep learning, transactional and analytical processing, data science, among others. Each field has very specific needs in terms of performance, scalability, dependability and security, which raises the need for a new generation of non-monolithic, configurable and scenario-driven distributed and reliable storage solutions.
The main goal of the DRSS workshop is to provide a common forum where storage researchers from across the world can debate new research ideas and directions. By gathering researchers and practitioners working on storage research topics and related areas such as big data, data science, distributed systems, databases, networking, and security, the workshop aims at discussing current state of the art, emerging challenges and trends, as well as, novel solutions for storage systems.
The workshop is looking for submissions in the form of papers with a maximum of 6 pages. The papers should explicitly address new research challenges or/and propose novel solutions. The organization welcomes contributions from both academia and industry. All submissions will be reviewed by members of the workshop program committee, who will select the best submissions for presentation at the workshop. Accepted papers will also be included in SRDS'19 Workshop proceedings.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
Software-defined storage
Distributed storage
File systems
Geo-replicated storage
Application-specific storage
Archival and backup systems
IoT and edge storage
BigData storage
Storage for AI/Machine learning solutions
Storage auto-tuning
Storage security and privacy
Storage dependability and reliability
Storage benchmarking
Key-value and NoSQL stores
Important Dates
