The 8th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Systems Management -
Subtitle:
Intelligent Urban Agglomerations Benefits, Trends, Strategies, and Challenges for Social & Economic Development
The 2019 International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Systems Management will be held in Shanghai, China. The sub-theme of the conference is “Intelligent Urban Agglomerations”. The development of the Internet has brought a lot of benefits and deep changes to the society. These changes have facilitated people’s life and speeded up the mutations of traditional industries such as manufacturing and transportation systems, and the development of new domains such as e-commerce, intelligent service systems, sharing economy, public safety and even disaster management. Intelligent urban construction, which promotes environment protection, city dweller’s wellbeing and sustainable economic growth, depends on industries, infrastructures, public and private service system development and their efficient interactions. The implementing intelligent urban agglomerations, however, faces a lot of theoretical and practical challenges. Therefore, this conference will provide a remarkable opportunity for the academic and industrial community to discuss and share their experience and developments in the area of Intelligent Urban Agglomerations.
