Latin American Summer School on Cognitive Robotics

LACORO 2020

Cognitive Science

The Latin American Summer School on Cognitive Robotics (LACORO) outlines a program addressing not only the engineering basis of Cognitive Robotics but also aspects of Human Cognition to give participants the intellectual tools necessary to communicate and collaborate with other communities involved in cognitive sciences.
We aim to foster regional collaboration in Cognitive Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence Research applied to Robotics. Although this is an international event and we expect participants and speakers from everywhere in the world, we believe it is imperative to host these types of events in Latin America to establish a robust research community in the American continent. Moreover, we think it is essential hosting educational events such as Summer Schools in Latin America because most events are held in the Northern Hemisphere and often the schedule conflicts with teaching activities in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Summer School provides state-of-the-art lectures and tutorial on cognitive robotics to the attendees. However, we also want to facilitate access to state-of-the-art research on Cognitive Robotics to anyone interested in Cognitive Robotics by making the lectures and tutorials freely available on a streaming platform such as Youtube or Vimeo.
