Session description:
This special session deals with the topics of data-driven process monitoring, modelling, and control. In the last few decades, the availability of large amounts of data from industries has led to widespread interest in data-based techniques. Consequently, there is a strong need for developing and testing of data-driven methods within the purview of control applications. System identification, soft computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning methods are currently being explored and integrated to design datadriven techniques. The aim of this session is to provide researchers and engineers a platform to exchange their latest achievements on data-driven process monitoring, fault detection, modelling, and control and to discuss key issues, challenges, and possible future trends. Articles with industrial applications and implementation are of particular interest. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• System identification
• Process monitoring
• Data-driven predictive control
• Data-driven optimal control
• Data-driven robust control
• Data-driven fault tolerant control
• Data-driven fault detection and isolation
