Special Session on METROLOGY, SENSORS AND DATA MANAGEMENT FOR HEALTHCARE 4.0

METROIND4.0&IoT 2019

Computing Systems Remote Sensing

Hospital is facing many challenges including public expenditure cuts, technological changes, and growing patient centeredness. The digital innovation on the healthcare industry, known as Healthcare 4.0, is impacting in this transformation, giving strong aids in finding a right balance among decentralized hospital services, prevention promotion, technological innovation, remote monitoring, and patient-tailored care, and support for wellbeing and active ageing. Wearable systems and sensors in conjunction with cloud computing services, automation, and tools for modelling complex systems and analyzing big data are needed.
This special session is an opportunity of interaction for researchers working on the development of miniaturized sensors for wearable applications, their fabrication process, characterization and their exploitation in medical scenarios. Data management, fusion, optimization, analysis and protection for IoT systems of sensors overlapping clinical infrastructures is an open area of research and this special session aims at facilitating the discussion on these and related topics.
Papers dealing with research related to the following topics are welcome:
Miniaturized Sensors for patients monitoring
Sensors for physiological parameters monitoring
Minimally invasive and non-invasive measurements techniques
Measurements based on diagnostic imaging techniques for medical applications
IoT and data management systems design for hospital
Data management optimization and fusion for IoT sensors
Techniques for data protection and encryption for IoT sensors
