Workshop on Service Quality and Quantitative Evaluation in new Emerging Technologies

SQUEET 2019

Public Policy & Administration

The objective of the workshop is to provide a forum to discuss problems, solutions and perspectives of ongoing research activities on measurability and quantitative evaluation of the Quality of Service in Emerging ICT technologies.
The advent of the as-a-Service paradigm has brought an unprecedented revolution in the ICT field. The self-service and pay-per-use models fostered by this paradigm shift have been adopted in many emerging technologies such as Cloud Computing, Internet of things, Big Data, Fog Computing, Software Defined Networks. Whatever the technology, services are still delivered along with very generic grants (expressed by means of simple SLA) on the service quality level, which turn to be unsatisfactory for Customers.
This workshop aims at collecting the most recent results in terms of quantitative evaluation of the quality of services, intended as performance, dependability and security, in the new emerging ICT paradigms (Cloud, Internet of things, Big Data, Fog Computing, Software Defined Networks) focusing on what the Service Providers can concretely grant in SLAs and what Customers can autonomously measure and verify.
