The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is the most important infrastructure for smart cities. With the development of the Internet of Vehicles, it has deeply integrated the Internet of Things with intelligent transportation. Intelligent transportation uses the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) as a solution for communication between vehicles. It improves traffic management applications and services in order to guarantee safety on roads.
This Special Issue welcomes contributions dealing with any of the technological facets of the Internet of Vehicles, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Wireless sensor networks within the IoV;
- IoVs over future internet architectures (NDN, CCN);
- Routing protocols for the IoV;
- Intelligent Life Monitoring System for Vehicles;
- Communications in the IoV;
- Applications of blockchain and cloud computing for the IoV;
- Artificial intelligence (AI) for the IoV;
- New technologies for the IoV.
- Social networks on the IoV;
- Communication in the IoV;
- Cyber security and privacy issues.
