Call for papers for Special Issue on "AI for Engineering: AI in Product Design and Manufacturing Industry.”
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming engineering by enhancing automation, improving product quality, and enabling engineers to tackle complex challenges more efficiently. It has the potential to revolutionize various engineering disciplines and drive innovation across industries. AI is reshaping the manufacturing industry by introducing intelligent systems that optimize product design, processes, enhance productivity, and enable innovative solutions which were traditionally difficult for conventional methods. AI has significantly expanded the capabilities to tackle high-dimensional and nonlinear problems across various fields, including computer vision, natural language processing, optimization, and control. AI is revolutionizing manufacturing by enabling predictive maintenance, improving quality control, optimizing processes, enhancing supply chain management, and driving innovation. It empowers manufacturers to achieve higher efficiency, lower costs, and improved customer satisfaction in an increasingly competitive industry.
This special issue aims to explore the latest advancements, challenges, and applications of AI in engineering and manufacturing, highlighting its impact on various domains within the industry. We invite researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to contribute original research papers, reviews, and case studies to this special issue. Potential topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI-driven automation and optimization in engineering and manufacturing processes
- AI applications in design and simulation for improved product development
- AI-enabled quality control and inspection in manufacturing processes
- AI-powered predictive maintenance
Submission Guidelines:
Papers should be submitted electronically through the publisher’s online system for AiM, Springer, at the website https://www.editorialmanager.com/manu/default.aspx. At the Paper Submittal page, select the special issue AI for Engineering: AI in Product Design and Manufacturing Industry. Papers should be formatted according to the guidelines provided by Advances in Manufacturing (AiM). All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the highest scientific quality.
